Colombia’s Extraordinary Coffee

Colombia is the third largest coffee producing country in the world. Colombia  is unique in the number of varieties of coffee grown in different regions of the country. Over 11 varieties of bean are grown in 18 separate regions.

Come join us on a unique coffee-tasting journey exploring the rich diversity of Colombian coffee.

activation

We start by activating our palate. You will  learn how to use the Coffee Tasters Flavour Wheel that identifies 110 flavor, aroma, and textural attributes present in coffee.

We complement the wheel with palate activators such as fruits and chocolates and aroma comparisons to open your palate to the different coffees and their filtrations.

Filtration and Tasting

We continue our journey by exploring how the filtration method we use can enhance the flavor notes of the coffees. In this exercise, you will be guided through the theory of three filtration methods.

Armed with an activated palate and an awareness of filtration you will score three coffees each paired with a filtration.
